Requirements
- An analog touchtone telephone. Any corded or cordless telephone you currently use should work. A cordless telephone provides the advantage of having multiple handsets you can place wherever you want to make calls. Make sure your telephone is equipped with a Caller ID display if you want to take advantage of the Caller ID feature.
- A VoIP Telephone Adapter that connects your telephone to your DSL/Cable modem. This device changes voice signals to data packets so they can be sent out over the Internet. Cordia will ship you a kit that contains this device and cables when you sign up for the service.
- An active broadband Internet connection: You can use either DSL or cable modem.
NOTE: If you are ordering new broadband access, it is a good idea to complete those changes and get comfortable surfing the Net with a computer before you install your VoIP service.
- A standard PC and browser. While not necessary, a standard PC will allow you to access your personal Account Manager to view your bill and account history, order service changes, contact customer service and listen to your voice mail anytime and anyplace in the world you have Internet access.
- Satellite-provided Internet service.
- AOL Broadband service.
- Dial-up Internet service.
